Trip to San Diego with Mom to check out Gerson Therapy

Part of my post Cancer experience was investigating different alternative therapies that I hoped would have the power to heal. After reading and watching everything Kris Carr created, I felt inspired to learn more about a therapy created by a German born physician named Max Gerson in 1928. He believed food was medicine and he dedicated his career to refining a diet full of juices that he would eventually claim cure cancer. I had to see it to believe it.

I signed up for a 3-day educational course on this diet and found myself in a room full of people who were fighting various chronic diseases such as, terminal cancer, Lupus and other chronic degenerative diseases, but mostly lots of people with cancer. It was pretty therapeutic for me.... to be filled in a room of cancer survivors who all had hope. That hope was only strengthened by the personal testimonials of people who were near death and survived because of this therapy. Not only did they survive, but they are thriving, healthier now than ever.

This was my first trip to San Diego. I loved it!

We learned everything at this 3 day course. We learned how to make juice using a very expensive juicer, what toiletries and cleaning products to use, the dangers of metal fillings, what supplements the body needs to get healthy..... There was so much to take in, but it was all great information.

This woman had breast cancer. She did the Gerson therapy and healed herself. She was cancer free for about 7 years and then went back to her old ways of eating. Her cancer returned, and she did Gerson again and has been cancer free for several years.

Typical Gerson meal!

Healthy Gerson Food! It was really delicious too!

Gotta love the Cougar plates in this apartment window!

Fun at the San Diego Zoo!

This is my favorite picture. The gal had Stage 4 ovarian cancer. She lived in a remote village in Alaska that was only accessible by float plane. She opted not to get chemo and instead chose to use Gerson therapy. She used her savings her grandmother gave her to hire help to make her juice. She also made deals with Produce suppliers in the bigger cities and arranged to have large shipments of veggies flown into her village so she could fully embrace this therapy. She did all of this and has now been living cancer free for nearly 10 years.

Our bodies do not respond well to toxins in our food and our environment. The Gerson Therapy helps our body shed those toxins so our bodies can naturally heal themselves, as they were intended to do.

There are three videos on Netflix that talk about this therapy, and there is also a new film coming out in the fall called the Food Cure that I supported through kickstarter. I can't wait to get my copy in the mail!

It's exciting to think that there is something out there that can heal you and isn't going to hurt your cells in the process like chemo and radiation. This more natural therapy focuses on how food is medicine! Educate yourself on this therapy. You never know, it may save your life, or the life of someone around you!
